Mis Viajes En Los Parques – My Trips in the Parks

¿Como he llegado allí?

Había muchos turistas enJeanne Biking In Mountains El Calafate y no me gustó.

Translation:

In 2011 I finally go to the most beautiful park in the world-Torres del Paine.  How do I get there? It was a very long journey. We have moved from Tampa to Miami and then to James and then to Punta Arenas and then by bus to Puerto Natales. Puerto Natales took another bus to Torres del Paine park. We wanted to travel with the backpack and see the massive glaciers. We decided to go big circuit because there are fewer people and more glaciers. The other route, the W, is very popular and crowded. We had to plan the trip carefully to survive. We made a list of gears. It is very broad and based on years of our experience. We had to buy a shop campañanueva that could withstand strong winds.

The landscape of the largest circuit route was spectacular. You see John Gardner Pass? It is very steep and difficult to climb. The climb down is very steep and painful knee.

When we entered the park, a van took us to the beginning of the walk. The bridge over the river was so narrow that the driver had to remove the side mirrors. I was scared.

The first day was good and Seron camp where we find people who would tour with the rest of the circuit. All were young and most of them were from Israel. They had been walking around South America for about two years. They met in South America and walked together when they went to the same place.

The hike was strenuous. We had to climb steep stairs and jump over a style. We walked up and over Paso John Gardner. See my hiking poles are holding me because the wind was so strong.

We were in shelters and camping. Shelters had rooms with several bunk beds that could be rented. The bathrooms were down the hall.

In 2014 we went to Argentina to see Los Glaciares National Park and El Chalten where this Fitzroy, and Ushuaia where penguins are. We flew with airline Copa. We took the bus from El Calafate to El Chalten. There were many tourists in El Calafate and did not like. I loved the city ofthe Chalten that WILL is a town built by the Argentines when they hailed the Chilean territory. Life in El Chalten is very simple: it is hiking, eat in fine dining, sleeping and admire the view of the beautiful mountains. The path to Fitzroy was difficult because the last mile was very difficult to walk because it was steep and the road was full of loose rocks.

Ushuaia is one of the southernmost cities in South America. We went to look at the penguins and visit the park Tierra del Fuego. To see the penguins took a motorized rubber boat to go to an island of preservation. One must stay on the road and do not touch the penguins. We saw the Magellanic penguins and king penguins. The guided tour guide for 30 years and she is still passionate about penguins. She spoke as penguins are endangered.

Then we went to Tierra Del Fuego and a hike up a steep trail to the top of the mountain. At the top of the mountain there was a large swamp where carnivorous plants found. I was excited to see them because this was the first time I’ve seen in nature. My husband and I have established an exhibition of carnivorous plants at MOSI which is now open to the public. From Ushuaia we returned to Buenos Aires. After the peace and tranquility of the mountains the city seemed noisy and dirty. However there were interesting things to do like visiting museums, eating in restaurants, and watch the dancers of Tango. My favorite view were dog walkers. Buenos Aires is the city of Tango and went to a tango show.

My message to you is that if you have a dream to do something, do it because they can. Our trip was cheap except for airfare.
